The Goddess and the Panther

Beneath the moon’s enchanted glow,
A young goddess wandered, soft and slow.
Her heart was light, yet shadows crept,
A cage of fear where power slept.

In a forest deep, a snare was laid,
And in its grasp, the goddess stayed.
Her cries were soft, the night was still,
Until a growl climbed up the hill.

A panther black as midnight’s breath,
With eyes like stars, defying death,
Sprung through the dark with claws that gleamed,
And tore apart the cage that screamed.

“You are free,” the panther purred,
Its voice like thunder, yet soft as word.
“But freedom calls for something more:
Your power waits—what are you for?”

The goddess trembled, her hands aglow,
A force within she feared to show.
The panther smiled, its teeth sharp white,
“Do not fear your gift; embrace the flight.”

Together they roamed the endless land,
The goddess grew strong, her magic grand.
Through storm and shadow, their bond held tight,
Two spirits bound by fate and might.

Years passed swift as the rivers flowed,
Through mountains high and valleys low.
But destiny called, their paths diverged,
The goddess stayed; the panther surged.

Seasons turned, and wisdom came,
Her heart now fierce, her soul aflame.
And when the moonlit forest cried,
A shadow leapt, fierce stride by stride.

The panther returned, its power immense,
Its presence thick, its gaze intense.
The goddess stood, her power complete,
Two forces joined, the world at their feet.

No longer student, no longer guide,
Together as equals, side by side.
The land they guarded, their hearts entwined,
Two legends eternal, through space and time.
